For Scouting bookings the Group is responsible to ensure that all adults have the appropriate and up to date ongoing learning, permits and training for all activities they have booked. For non Scouting bookings, it is down to the individual organisation to make sure that the appropriate adult checks have been completed as per their own organisation.

Campsite Operations
Campsite Warden or their designated person will be on site to open and close the site, and will complete a visual inspection before the Group departs.
If the campsite or any equipment upon it is found to be maliciously damaged an appropriate charge will be raised to cover any reinstatement costs. This includes all areas and facilities on site whilst the Group is present
Site Security – All gates must be closed (but not locked) overnight. If the site is left unoccupied during your visit, at a minimum the campsite gate needs closing and securing.
Dogs are not allowed on the campsite, except guide dogs, which will need to be notified to the Booking Secretary before they come on site.
There are currently no facilities for rubbish disposal at site and all waste must be removed from site at the end of your stay. Please ensure the site is left litter free ready for the next campers by conducting a litter pick.
If a Group is to arrive at Calderdrift Campsite by bus or coach this needs to be pre discussed with the Booking Secretary so appropriate arrangements can be made. Calderdrift Campsite is capable of hosting busses or coach in the car park area.
We ask that all site users are considerate of other Groups on site and our neighbours and generally ask for noise to be kept to a minimum from 11pm until 7am.
All accidents, injuries, incidents and near misses should be reported to the Campsite Warden or their designated person for logging in the campsite accident records in addition to your Group’s normal accident reporting procedure.
All vehicles must be parked in the lower designated car park. No vehicles are allowed onto the camping areas or other parts of the campsite without the prior permission of the Campsite Warden or their designated person in advance.

Toilets (Including disabled toilet)
The toilets onsite should be presented to you in a clean and hygienic condition. If at the beginning of your stay you are not satisfied this condition is met please inform the Campsite Warden or their designated person as soon as possible. At the end of your stay it is your responsibility to leave the toilets in a clean and hygienic condition ready for the next hirer to use. Cleaning equipment is available from the Campsite Warden or their designated person. During your stay the Campsite Warden or their designated person will change the toilet paper, refill the soap and empty the bins. Please do not use any chemical that have not been issued by Calderdrift Scout Campsite in the toilets due to our septic tank having living organisms inside it which help to break down the solids inside the tank. Other chemicals than our own can kill off these organisms. Calderdrift Scout Campsite holds the right to invoice any Group with an appropriate charge when we have to clean the toilets after return from hire or if other chemicals are put into the toilet system.
Chemical Toilets brought to site are not allowed to be used due to there being no appropriate place for disposal of the waste.

The toilet on board of Jubilee Venture is there for night time use only. We ask that the main toilets are used for the majority of the time. The toilet is to be cleaned by the hirer but it both during the hire period and before leaving. The emptying of the toilet is to be done by the Campsite Warden or their designated person only. The hirer is not to empty the toilet as this requires the hirer to hold a Green Field Scout Camping permit.
If the hirer is leaving the site unattended at anytime during their hire, it is the hirers responsibility to secure Jubilee Venture to prevent unauthorised persons for getting into the accommodation.
Calderdrift Campsite holds the right to cancel or change your booking of the accommodation at short notice.
